High-reach gutter vacuum pole clearing moss and leaves from the gutter of a brick house

A clean out, not a clean off

Gutter Clearing in Ferndown & East Dorset

Leaves, moss and debris cleared out of your gutters with a high-reach gutter vacuum, operated safely from the ground.

Free-flowing gutters, no ladders on your roofline

Blocked gutters overflow, stain your walls and can lead to damp. Gutter clearing is a clean out: I remove everything that's built up inside your gutters so rainwater flows away as it should.

If you'd also like the outside of your gutters, fascias and soffits washed, that's a separate service — the FSG clean. Many customers book both together.

My method

The gutter vacuum system

I use a high-reach gutter vacuum: a powerful vacuum on lightweight poles that reaches up to the gutter while I stay safely on the ground.

Most gutters are cleared from the ground this way, but in some cases ladder access may be needed. I'm very experienced and confident working from ladders where required.

Working from the ground is safer than ladders, kinder to your property, and clears even compacted moss and debris — as the blocked downpipe in the photo shows.

Clean off

Gutter Cleaning (FSG Clean)

Cleaning is about the outside. An FSG clean washes the fascias, soffits and the outer face of your gutters, lifting off the green and black build-up so your roofline looks bright again.

Prevents damp

Overflowing gutters can damage fascias, paths and foundations over time.

Safe from the ground

No ladders against your gutters, so there's no risk of cracking them.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between gutter clearing and gutter cleaning?

Gutter clearing is a clean out — removing debris from inside the gutters. Gutter cleaning (an FSG clean) is a clean off — washing the outside of your fascias, soffits and gutters.

How often should gutters be cleared?

Once a year is usually enough. Homes near trees — especially pines, as in West Moors and Ferndown — may need it twice a year.

Do you need to go on the roof or use ladders?

Usually not. Most gutters are cleared from the ground with the gutter vacuum. In some cases ladder access is needed, and I'm very experienced and confident working from ladders where required.

Can you combine this with window cleaning?

Absolutely. Many customers add gutter clearing to a window clean — it's efficient and saves you arranging two trades.
